MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our award-winning team at Stobo Castle Health Spa — a family-run destination spa nestled in the stunning Scottish Borders countryside.
About the Role:
As part of our close-knit Maintenance Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the building and facilities. Your work will help us maintain the exceptional standards our guests expect, covering everything from leisure equipment to essential building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily maintenance of our leisure facilities, swimming pool and associated pool plant equipment (pool plant training provided)
General repairs across plumbing, electrical, joinery and mechanical systems throughout the building
Conducting daily/weekly safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency lighting
Attending to maintenance requests and emergencies in a prompt, efficient manner
Ensuring full compliance with health and safety protocols
Co-ordinating with other departments and contractors as needed
Representing the Maintenance Team with professionalism and a guest-focused attitude
Participating in out-of-hours and emergency callouts, when required

Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive in planning and carrying out preventative maintenance
Flexible and solutions-driven with a positive, can-do attitude
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and HVAC systems
Confident and competent in the safe use of hand and power tools
